As External Communications Manager in the Group Communications function, you will be part of a small, ambitious team responsible for all external communications. Our purpose is to build, strengthen and protect ISS’s reputation with our key stakeholders by initiating strategic communications activites. You will play a key role in drafting relevant and engaging communications across various platforms and channels, driving external campaigns, connecting with spokespersons, and collaborating with Marketing, Commercial, and global communications colleagues. The Group Communications team is dedicated to achieving impactful results that support business objectives, while fostering a supportive and friendly environment where every person’s opinion is valued.

Location: ISS’s headquarters in Søborg, Greater Copenhagen

Language: Danish and English

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, develop, and execute thought leadership activities, such as press releases, media pitches, and external collaborations, at Group level and in collaboration with key ISS markets
  • Support the development and execution of CEO branding activities
  • Plan and develop LinkedIn posts, and create monthly performance reports
  • Ensure that media lists and distribution systems are up to date
  • Support ISS markets with external communications requests
  • Support integrated communications efforts in the Group Communications team
  • Who you’ll work with:

  • You will be working in the External Communications function of Group Communications.
  • You will be reporting to the Head of External Communications.
  • About the team :

    The Group Communications function at ISS is a diverse, geographically distributed team working remotely and in-person to deliver impactful global internal and external communications, aligning with the company’s strategic priorities and thought leadership themes. We advise and support senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organisation and cultivate a global communications leadership community offering knowledge-sharing, sparring and upskilling.

    Key qualifications:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience with external communications and media relations, for instance, in a corporate communications function, or a communication agency
  • Outstanding writing skills across various external channels (LinkedIn, press releases, case stories etc.)
  • Fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical skills in terms of ‘reading’ societal discourses, understanding key figures and conclusions from reports, and creating performance reports according to fixed metrics.
  • A relevant academic education, for instance within communications, journalism, or political science.
