Since its inception in 1996, Rosforth Films has produced countless award-winning documentaries including: “Ai Weiwei: The Fake Case” (2013) and “Bugs” (2017), and cult films like “Kidd Life” ( 2012), “Natasja” ( 2008) to name a few. The goal for Rosforth Films is to bring light to the subculture and ask its audience to stay curious, be playful, ask questions, and immerse themselves in a world unknown to them. 

Currently, Rosforth is actively working on 4 upcoming projects. These projects are in various stages of production but, aimed to be completed in the next couple of years. 

About the position

Rosforth Films is looking for a self-motivated, full-time employee to fulfill a Film Consultant position, focusing on sales/ distribution opportunities for its newest and catalog documentaries. The Film Consultant is required to attend film markets and festivals throughout the year. Lastly, the Film Consultant needs to connect with producers for collaboration possibilities. 

Rosforth will rely on the Film Consultant to provide expertise in the business strategy, opportunities, and knowledge of the current market. The Film Consulate will need to cultivate current business relations with other producers, distributors, and sales agents worldwide for new opportunities. 

The ideal candidate must have these qualifications:

• At least 5 years in the sales and distribution business.

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish. 

• Must have experience in the area of domestic and international distribution of films. 

• Must have experience in the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.

• Must have a background in reading contracts.

• Must be able to work independently.

• Must possess a comprehension of the business with the potential to bring new opportunities for Rosforth Films.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are to be discussed with Andreas Johnsen. The position is a full-time position and is expected to be filled in the first week of February 2025.
