Finance Controller

We are looking for a Finance Controller for our Finance Controlling function. The position is in Ikast, with additional controllers in Finland, Norway, Poland and India, and is part of the group's shared service function. Drive Strategic Insights & Business Performance Across the Nordics

As a Finance Controller, you will play a crucial role in preparing financial statements, cost analyses, and profit and loss reports, all with a strong focus on managing and optimizing business unit performance.

Beyond reporting, you will provide valuable analytical insights into profitability and collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners to shape strategic decisions. The role also involves leading ad-hoc analyses and projects and being part of M&A integrations.

You will be the engine that ensures the successful completion of the various finance-related projects. Additionally, you will provide key business insights through in-depth analysis of the business units' performance for business partners to provide strategic insights.

Moreover, your key responsibilities include:

Business finance

• Understanding the principals behind operational finance to enable the analysis of a variety of business finance projects and provide insights for optimization.
• Functioning as a center of excellence at which colleagues can seek advice in terms of optimization of business finance.
• Providing financial insights to the management.
• Involvement in mergers & acquisitions, and especially in post-merger integration.

Processes

• Conduct current situation, consequence, and solution analysis on a broad range of finance processes.
• Drive finance transformation and process optimization projects.
• Ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Document controls and process changes aimed at ensuring continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Drive the month end close process.

Finance

• Ensure the correctness of the figures being reported in controlling.
• Supports finding the cause and correcting any financial inconsistencies.
• Consult in the effect of different financial transactions in the ERP system, including the effect of implementing new processes on the company’s financials.
• Be able to support the preparation of financial statements across multiple entities and countries.
• Support decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting on financial data.

What you need to be successful in the role

Qualifications

• Some years of experience from a tier 1 audit company, potentially in combination with experience from a finance controller position.
• Financial background with an understanding of a broad set of common finance processes ranging from operational finance to business finance.
• An analytical mindset being able to provide insights to management within the performance of business units.
• Good understanding of the interaction between the ERP and related systems, and the finance processes.
