On behalf of the global Danish company Sonion, Basico is looking for a finance manager with solid accounting experience for the Danish subsidiary of Sonion Group.

Sonion Group is owned by Novo Holdings A/S and is the global leader in designing and manufacturing advanced components and solutions for hearing instruments and high-end ear-level audio devices.

You will refer directly to the Danish SVP Finance and ensure a close coordination and cooperation with other functions in Finance and external business partners (tax authorities, auditors etc.).

Overall, you will be heading the finance function and will be fully responsible for finance in Denmark, US and Poland, including management of a team of two people based in Vietnam.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Danish Finance function and the team where you will play an important role in terms of further developing, supporting and motivating your team.

Your responsibility encompasses initiatives for ongoing development of processes for transactions, registration and reporting to comply with deadlines and to achieve high quality in reporting. You will have to ensure and maintain a high level of knowledge regarding accounting principles, legal requirements etc.

Some of the primary tasks are:

  • Managing and developing employees
  • Analysing and optimising finance processes across the entire organisation
  • Ensuring high data quality in all processes and reporting
  • Monthly and annual reporting as well as external annual accounts
  • Budget and ongoing follow-up on this
  • Weekly cash flow
  • Ensuring compliance in the Danish, US and Polish legal entities
  • Transfer pricing documentation
  • Various administrative tasks, e.g. VAT and other reporting to public authorities
  • Payroll for DK and US (monthly approval of a small number of transactions).

Your profile

You have a relevant theoretical background as cand.merc.aud., HD (R) or equivalent combined with a strong accounting background with several years’ experience. Preferably, you have experience as an auditor, supplemented by a few years in an international company with subsidiary structure.

Furthermore, you have a couple of years’ management experience and are a true professional and up to date with accounting practices and legal requirements. You have experience with IFRS, and you have been an active part in streamlining accounting processes. You have both the desire and ability to work in a detailed hands-on manner as well as present and facilitate business reviews with business stakeholders.

You take charge, act proactively and show personal leadership of your own tasks as well as of your team’s tasks. You are decisive, results-driven and communicate openly and clearly. You are positive, service-minded and structured.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Power BI and/or Dynamics is an advantage. Also, you preferably have experience with Exflow (electronic invoice management) and SRXP (electronic travel settlement).
