Front End Engineer (Component-Based Architecture & DevOps Focus)

Tasks

Frontend Architecture Redesign:

• Lead the redesign of the frontend architecture to a component-based framework using frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
• Implement responsive and dynamic web designs optimised for various devices.
• Refactor existing code to improve performance and maintainability.

Testing Framework Implementation:

• Develop and implement comprehensive testing frameworks.
• Ensure stability and reliability through automated testing.

DevOps Collaboration:

• Drive infrastructure automation initiatives for the frontend, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

Performance Optimization:

• Optimise frontend performance for fast load times and smooth interactions.
• Implement best practices for code optimization and asset management.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with backend engineers and UX designers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

Experience:

• 4+ years of frontend development experience using React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proven experience with component-based architectures.
• Strong background in responsive design and mobile-first development.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend technologies.
• Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for frontend deployment.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with backend integration and API consumption.
• Knowledge of incremental migration strategies in frontend development.
