Gismap is a pioneering NatureTech startup focused on transforming biodiversity management in the real estate and construction sectors. We’re building an innovative platform that helps businesses track, measure, and enhance biodiversity, leveraging cutting-edge AI and geospatial technologies. We believe technology is key to solving the biodiversity crisis, and we’re looking for a talented Full-Stack Developer to join us on this mission.
As a full-stack developer at Gismap, you’ll play a key role in building and scaling our data-driven platform, working closely with our tech team to ensure smooth integrations and high-quality features. You’ll be responsible for both the front-end and back-end aspects of our platform, helping to deliver a seamless user experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with our team to develop new features for the Gismap platform
Working on both the client-side (React.js) and server-side (Django, PostgreSQL with PostGIS)
Building APIs and integrating with third-party applications and data sources
Optimizing the platform for performance and scalability
Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Troubleshooting and debugging to improve platform functionality
Contributing your expertise, sharing your perspective, and helping shape the development roadmap as a key member of the team
Meeting up regularly at our office in Nørrebro, Copenhagen for collaborative teamwork in a social and easy-going atmosphere
You are a skilled Full-Stack Developer who is passionate about working on solutions that address environmental challenges. You thrive in a team-oriented environment, enjoy working in a social atmosphere, and are comfortable collaborating with others to make an impact.
Proven experience in front-end development: Strong knowledge of React.js or similar frameworks
Back-end development skills: Expertise in Django, Python, and PostgreSQL with PostGIS
Experience working with geospatial data is a plus (e.g., GeoPandas, Turf.js)
Experience working with APIs and integrating external systems
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges
A team player who thrives in a social, easy-going work environment
Good understanding of version control (Git)
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment
Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Docker are nice to have but not required
Must be able to work from our office in Nørrebro on a regular basis
Interest in NatureTech or sustainability sectors is a big plus
