As a Full Stack Engineer at Monta, you will design and maintain web and mobile applications as well as backend systems for financial transactions, ensuring data accuracy, optimizing performance, implementing security measures, ensuring compliance with regulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing ongoing support and innovation for financial services.

Tools and technologies you’ll use

You’ll be working with a fairly modern stack, and while we don't expect you to know everything about it, you should be comfortable learning new tech. Our tools include Kotlin (Java 17 and closely following updates), Micronaut (microservice framework), Dart and Flutter, Typescript and ReactJS, AWS Cloud, Docker, GitOps, Kubernetes, MySQL/Redis (database), Prometheus (monitoring), Grafana (dashboard/metrics), Loki (logging), and more!

Here are some things you’ll be working on:

• Develop and Maintain Systems: Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs for financial transactions, invoicing, and accounting processes.
• Enhance the User Experience: Build elegant, easy to use user interfaces with the Flutter SDK for both mobile and web, visually representing and exposing the right set of functionality to our users.
  
• Compliance and Security: Ensure systems comply with financial regulations and implement security measures to protect sensitive financial information.
• Monitor and Troubleshoot: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to maintain system reliability.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating complex financial systems
• Achievements in implementing robust security measures and ensuring compliance with financial regulations (such as PSD2). This could include developing secure authentication systems, data encryption, and audit trails to protect sensitive financial data.
• Taking ownership of complex financial domains.

We imagine you to have the following experience:

1. Experience with Financial Systems: Proven experience in developing and maintaining financial services software, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient transaction processing.
2. Technical Excellence: Demonstrated technical proficiency in backend development, with expertise in languages like Kotlin being a strong advantage.
3. Responsibility: A track record of taking ownership of projects, ensuring data integrity, security, and seamless integration with other systems.
