Fullstack Developer – H3D – Denmark

We are looking for an ambitious Full Stack Developer who gets excited by these questions! You will report directly to the R&D Director and shape the DNA of our company.

About H3D

H3D is an Australian Ph.D. research spinout whose mission is to make custom-fit devices (e.g. hearing aids, dental appliances) accessible to everyday people. We do this by providing AI technology to audio and dental labs – our Dental CAD, Audio CAD and Smartphone Scanning products – to grow their businesses and better support patients.

Since our product launch in 2021, H3D are growing fast and working with industry leaders such as Logitech, GN Resound, Modern Dental Group and many others. The company is backed by leading VC investors and has customers based worldwide.

The Opportunity

You'll join our core engineering team building AutoDesign - our groundbreaking cloud platform that transforms how medical devices are designed and manufactured. This isn't just another web application - you'll be working with 3D visualization, machine learning pipelines, and cloud infrastructure to solve real human problems. Your code will directly impact people's quality of life by making custom medical devices more accessible and affordable.

What You’ll Do

Outcomes you’ll deliver:

• Assist in the development and deployment of web apps hosted on AWS, using common frameworks such as VueJS, Flask, etc.
• Solve complex AWS cloud architecture to deliver reliable and efficient services to both web applications and iOS apps.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that will shape our platform's future
• Collaborate with our product managers and customers to design, build and integrate new features into our systems.
• Establish scalable development processes
• Establish, maintain and document multiple API systems
• Work within an enthusiastic team of over 10 developers based in EU and AUS

Who You Are

Must-Have Experience:

• 5+ years as a professional full-stack software developer
• Strong expertise in full-stack development:
  • Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js
  • Backend: Python, Flask, and API development
• Experience building secure, scalable cloud-native applications
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Cognito, etc.)
• Strong understanding of software security principles and best practices
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Nice-To-Have Experience:

• Processing 3D data – e.g. visualizing 3D models in a web browser
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS CDK or similar IaC tools
• Experience working in regulated industries
• Developing iOS applications or knowledge of Swift programming

Leadership & Process Skills

• Experience establishing engineering best practices and processes
• Ability to drive architectural decisions and technical strategy
• Strong documentation skills and commitment to knowledge sharing
• Experience working in distributed, remote-first teams
• Proficient communication: regular reporting, agile meetings, documentation
