Are you Funday’s new Game Designer? 

Are you an experienced game designer with a strong passion for creating immersive and captivating games? Then you might be the perfect match for Funday! As things are moving fast in Funday, we’re on the lookout for a game designer who’ll love to help us create the best possible PC Premium game experiences that will bring fun to people around the world.   

Who you are: 

You are an avid PC/Console gamer and designer who’s dabbled with different genres and scopes - hopefully both as a player and a developer. You have production experience and hands on experience with working in game engines - and bonus points if it’s Unity. You have a keen eye for player engagement, balancing the game just right, and have worked with all phases of production (prototyping/production/launch/liveOps). You have a solid understanding of technical and artistic opportunities and limitations, enabling you to discuss and evaluate different tasks and ideas with your team. You have a high level of communication skills and thrive with loads of responsibility and mandate.

The job includes tasks such as: 

• Design games from A to Z (naturally with help from your team)
• Design, prototype, iterate, validate and improve game features while keeping them aligned with the overall vision for the game
• Help fine-tune game balancing, pacing and feeling
• Juggle and tune complex game systems
• Provide clear feature documentation and/or wireframes

• Present design plans and thoughts for the team and make sure that the teams understand and are able to execute the design set forth 

• Work within existing systems and expand on them, including integrating feedback from player testing
• Ensure daily support and sparring with the the other professions (mainly developers & artists)

• Ongoing alignment with relevant stakeholders - internally and externally

On a more personal level, you: 

• Have a strong passion for games that carry into your fingerspitzengefühl of the gameplay
• Have worked on PC Premium projects before 
• Have a strong knowledge of game design and design theory 
• Work well in a team with different professions and are a great listener and communicator
• Are confident in your work and thrive with taking a leading role   
• Keep the player experience top of mind when developing games, through internal and external playtesting
• Work well with the creative process and adjust the design to fit the production needs
• Thrive in a growing business with a flat hierarchy and room for slippers
• Are a positive spirit who likes to have fun and laugh with colleagues
