General Manager - North, ECCO Europe

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

ECCO Europe is on the lookout for a seasoned General Manager to spearhead our retail and wholesale operations in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. This pivotal role is essential for driving business growth and ensuring operational excellence.

As the General Manager, you will lead and manage our retail and wholesale operations, focusing on achieving sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. You will develop and implement strategies that align with ECCO’s vision and goals, strengthening our brand image and building long-term relationships with key accounts.

Your leadership will foster a positive work environment, inspiring your team to achieve excellence. You will provide input on product assortment, manage inventory, and expand our retail and wholesale portfolio by opening new stores and acquiring new accounts. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and meeting budget forecasts and ensuring timely reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, marketing, or a related field, with a master’s degree or MBA preferred. You should have over 10 years of experience in retail and wholesale operations, preferably in footwear, fashion, or apparel, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitability.

Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills are essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You should be able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the local market and industry trends is crucial, and you should be willing to travel frequently. Fluency in Danish and preferably other Scandinavian languages, along with proficiency in English, is required.
