Harvesting Manager

Job Description:
Greenpeas is seeking a dedicated and experienced Harvesting Manager to oversee and  manage the harvesting of fresh peas of our snack production. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the harvesting process and the efficient management of our seasonal workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Harvesting Planning & Field Disposition: Plan and organize the harvesting process, ensuring optimal use of land and efficient field operations.
• Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 300 seasonal workers, ensuring high productivity and maintaining a positive, motivated workforce.
• Logistics Management: Oversee the logistics of moving harvested peas from the field to the warehouse, ensuring smooth transportation within a 5-50 km range.
• Harvesting Prognosis & Budgets: Develop accurate harvesting forecasts, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that the harvested peas meet Greenpeas’ high standards of quality.
• Personnel Management: Manage staff schedules, monitor performance, and maintain a respectful and efficient work environment.
• Technical Management: Resolve any technical challenges related to harvesting equipment and logistics.

Personal Requirements:

• Proves experience in team management and leadership in agricultural or similae settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A valid driver’s license (for car, and potentially other vehicles).
• Natural leadership qualities, with a respectful and empathetic approach to team management.
• Ability to make quick, fair decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong personality with excellent judgment skills, capable of separating personal and professional matters effectively.
