Job Purpose

As Head of Allocation & Replenishment, you will play a key role in optimizing inventory management and ensuring efficient stock flow across all European locations. Leading a team of planners and assistants, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve forecasting accuracy, and maximize sales opportunities while minimizing costs.

Your responsibilities include managing end-to-end order processes, balancing supply and demand, and optimizing replenishment to enhance service levels. This involves considering lead times, demand forecasts, and safety stock levels while minimizing costs and preventing overstocking.

Based in our HQ on Strandgade, Copenhagen, you will report to the Commercial Trade Director and contribute to the company’s transformation journey. Collaboration with Retail, Logistics, and Commercial Planning is essential to coordinate inventory activities and maintain efficient product flow. You will also monitor key performance indicators, leverage data analytics, and continuously enhance inventory management through technology and best practices.

Overall Goals

• Ensure optimal inventory flow across clusters, maintaining availability while balancing supply and demand.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound plans with Logistics to ensure smooth stock movement.
• Improve demand forecasting accuracy to reduce stockout risks and excess inventory.
• Optimize allocation across locations to maximize sales and minimize costs.
• Strengthen collaboration with key teams to enhance inventory planning and execution.
• Leverage data analytics to track KPIs, identify trends, and drive process improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Determine optimal inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock levels based on demand forecasts, lead times, and service level objectives per market.
• Develop inventory management strategies to balance supply and demand, ensuring timely replenishment per warehouse, cluster, and location.
• Continuously enhance demand forecasting models in alignment with inventory management solutions.
• Analyze inventory-related data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, automation potential, and operational enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with the Allocation & Replenishment team, cross-functional teams, and inventory management solution providers.
• Manage the workflow and responsibilities of Allocation and Replenishment Planners, ensuring smooth operations and performance optimization.

Skills and Experience

• High proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods to analyze demand and identify trends. Experience with tools such as Excel or inventory management software is required.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, allocation, or replenishment roles 
• Experience managing a smaller team.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams including Retail, Logistics, and Commercial Planning.
• Strong problem-solving skills to analyze inventory-related issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions to optimize inventory levels.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory forecasting, order processing, and inventory management tasks.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Fluent verbal and written English proficiency.
