Tasks

Plan and develop the execution of design of PLC and HMI control systems for oven lines, including tunnel oven, conveyor systems, dough feeding systems, depositors and other equipment.

Oversee the overall quality of automation solutions.

Ensure support for customers and field engineers across the globe.

Plan the commissioning of custom-engineered machines.

Collaboration with the other departments of the company, both in Denmark and abroad, in connection with the offering and production of large baking lines.

Set yearly objectives and goals for the team.

Ensure standardization in the department as well as identify the need for new product improvement

Coordinate resources within the departments and different stakeholders.

Support our sales department in the customer specification process.

Technical sparring with the team members

Travel to customers and Buhlers manufacturing sites.

Management experience from a similar position.

Capability to work at a global level and lead at distance.

Familiar with advanced PLC programming skills in Ladder and structured text

Knowledge of PLCs and servo systems, our main systems are Allen Bradley and Siemens

Knowledge of standards such as EN 60204-1 and EN 13849 is an advantage

Knowledge of the food industry is an advantage but not a requirement

Fluent of both spoken and written English

Prepared for some travel activity in connection with customer visits and commissioning as well as meetings in other of the group’s companies.

You are familiar and a background from the machine/equipment manufacturing industry.

You are a good communicator (both Danish and English), cool under pressure and motivated by knowledge sharing. You have a strong business acumen and the ability to generate results through your team members.

You are a proactive, self-driven and outgoing person, who is able to convert ideas into operational solutions in cooperation with his/her team.
