This is a pivotal role where you will ensure that our digital tools, platforms, and systems are optimized to support organisational goals. As a critical resource in the Marketing department, you will lead the way in setting best practices and policies, creating an advanced and streamlined digital environment. You will also support efforts to commercialize our business as well as integrate AI into our operations, enhancing efficiency, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Systems Management
- Oversee all digital systems, tools, and platforms to ensure functionality, reliability, and alignment with organisational needs.
- Assess existing digital infrastructure; recommend changes, replacements, or additions as needed.
- Manage hosting platforms, servers, and associated systems to ensure optimal performance and security, in collaboration with the IT department at the Shared Service Centre.
Job Portal and Automation Oversight
- Ensure smooth functioning and optimization of our job portals and the web scraping setup connected to them. Identify and implement automation opportunities across digital workflows.
Digital Campaign Optimization
- Support Brand Managers with campaign optimization, tracking, and reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and improve reporting dashboards for real-time analytics and actionable insights.
Development & Hands-On Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for digital development requests across the organisation.
- Project manage external digital agencies and freelancers.
- Provide hands on support for both backend and frontend development tasks as needed.
AI Integration and Innovation
- Evaluate and implement AI tools and technologies to streamline operations and enhance organisational capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation, analytics, and optimization in key areas such as job portals, digital campaigns, and reporting.
Strategic Development
- Guide the organisation and its management in matters of digital innovation, e.g. implementing AI and automation tools.
- Benchmark against industry standards and introduce best practices to inspire similar organisations.
- Support the efforts to develop and commercialise our business.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in digital systems management and development (backend and frontend).
- Strong knowledge of hosting platforms, servers, website content management systems, marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and other marketing tools; experience with HubSpot is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in analytics, tracking, and dashboard tools.
- Experience in digital campaign optimisation and collaboration with marketing teams.
- Experience with web scraping, Python, PostgreSQL (or another SQL database), Linux, Django (or another Python web-framework like Flask), Playwright framework.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying improvements and keeping systems working optimally.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management and project management skills.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and supervise interns.
- Comfortable teaching digital tools and best practices to colleagues.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and tools in digital and AI development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments.
