Shape the Future of Water and Environmental Solutions

We are seeking a Head of Discipline to guide and enhance our expanding team of specialists in Planning, Permitting, Nature, and Area. The discipline is focused on freshwater and marine environments and is located in Lyngby. The team will consist of around 15 professionals, but it is a priority area that we expect will expand under your leadership. The discipline works alongside our customers on some of the country’s most prestigious and innovative projects within the green transition and large infrastructure projects. We are proud to have contributed to projects like” Skybrudsprojekt i Kagsmosen” and” Miljøvurdering af havplanen ”, shaping sustainable solutions for the future. The focus of the Discipline includes evaluations related to the water framework directive, biological studies in freshwater systems and marine environments, as well as environmental impact evaluations about these areas. Your responsibilities will include guiding your team while also engaging in various projects related to these domains.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with other Heads of Disciplines in the Engineering Area and your team of experts and report to the Head of Engineering, Jonas Klinck.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

Acting as a senior specialist/project manager within your area of expertise which is freshwater ecology and the water framework directive or marine biology

Ensuring the well-being of your employees and cultivating a positive work environment.

Facilitating personal and professional development for your team members.

Managing day-to-day resource coordination.

Assessing hiring needs and overseeing the recruitment process.

Coordinating with other Heads of Disciplines, resource managers, market and project directors, and the Vice President.

Processing information from upper management and implementing relevant actions.

Overseeing project management and ensuring project execution.

Your Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you are a collaborative leader who encourages teamwork and innovation. You deliver on your promises and continuously seek new ways to improve processes and outcomes.

Additionally, you will have:

To motivate others through a constructive attitude, emphasizing the personal requirements of staff while aligning with collective goals.

Extensive professional knowledge and a broad network within freshwater or marine environments and experience with assessments within the water framework directive and Environmental Impact Assessments.

Skilled in project management stakeholder engagement or technical delivery.

A master’s degree in freshwater ecology, marine biology, environmental science, or a related field.

Proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
