The Finance Shared Service Center is part of the HQ Finance function of Flying Tiger Copenhagen and is located at our office in Strandgade, Copenhagen. The Finance Shared Service Center consists of 33 team members. This new Head of Finance role will be managing a team of 7; 3 Senior Finance Managers and 4 Finance Managers.

You will report directly to the Director Finance Shared Service Center.

This is the job

The main focus of the Head of Finance is to ensure an effective and highly motivated team. You will work closely together with your team and create a high team spirit.
Moreover, you will be responsible for solving and optimizing workflow and processes as the team works on big data that need to be optimized. You will also have hands-on responsibilities within the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop finance team with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarterly, and yearly financial closings
• Support your team in resolving accounting-related issues and improving workflow efficiency
• Drive process optimization and improvements in reporting accuracy
• Provide hands-on support when necessary, guiding the team through challenges and creating a culture of continuous improvement

This is you

We are looking for a people-first leader with 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a HQ function. You have experience in managing teams and are skilled at creating an environment where people feel valued, motivated, and capable of achieving great things. Your leadership is hands-on, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to help the team succeed.

You bring:

• A strong background in process optimization
• A solid understanding of IFRS and experience with ERP systems (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus).
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Fluency in both Danish and English, spoken and written.
