An important step of the way is to provide retrofit solutions to our clients, who are looking to convert their existing fleet’s 2-stroke engines to operate more efficiently and on more environmentally friendly fuels such as LNG, Ethane, LPG, Methanol, biofuels, or Ammonia.
You will play an important role in:
As Head of Project Sales, you will be leading a team of 6 experienced project sales managers located at our 2-stroke product center in Copenhagen, in collaboration with a number of local sales managers in our global offices with worldwide coverage. The function is responsible for project development and sales of large gas conversion projects and major engine re-build projects for existing vessels as well as selling our gas supply pump-vaporizer skids for our 2-stroke gas engines applied both for new building and retrofit applications.
You will be responsible for delivering on our customers’ high expectations for decarbonisation solutions as well as our ambitious growth targets, by leading and developing our project sales organization, as well as adjusting our strategy and processes to ensure that we are prepared to deliver on an increasing project portfolio in the future.
Further, you will be responsible for ensuring strong collaboration and developing processes with intercompany stakeholders and departments including but not limited to; Tender & project management, R&D, engineering, sourcing, material management, finance, legal and MAN-ES global organization exceeding 100 subsidiaries.
30-40 days of global business travel per year.
We imagine that you:
You will be surrounded by experts in numerous fields within the building and retrofitting of large 2-stroke engines. It will be an advantage to have experience with 2-stroke engines, though not a prerequisite. Your commercial understanding and mind set, combined with a substantial amount of experience within commercial sales of large projects in the marine-, industrial or off-shore sector, is what will make you a success in this role.
You have a keen interest in developing the way we work with global project sales, and your ambitious nature is not settled with “good enough”. With your experience, you are confident in your ability and methodology, enabling you to create and implement a visionary project sales strategy.
You are experienced in motivating both the group and also people individually. As you will be leading an autonomous group of people, you understand the importance and complexity of leadership, and you practice an “open-door policy” enabling you to create a trustworthy and professional working environment.
