We seek a visionary and experienced Head of Technology & Development to lead our engineering teams across the globe and drive the tech strategy for the future of our Business Unit. This is a critical leadership role that will play a key part in shaping our product roadmap and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

With over 40 years of experience, we are one of the leading software companies in the Nordic region and are rapidly expanding. Technology & Development consists of 130 FTEs, including eight managers. The team is present in a total of seven countries, primarily the Nordic countries and India. 

Driving Technological Excellence, Empowering Teams, and Delivering Scalable Solution 

As our Head of Technology & Development within EG Industrials, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our development strategy, driving innovation in software solutions, and ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable products that meet our customers' needs. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading and setting the direction for the department to deliver high-quality software products.
• Establishing and implementing development strategies that align with company goals.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and technologies.
• Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and operations.
• Mentoring and supporting team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our products remain competitive. 

Required competencies to be successful in this role: 

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a Senior Leadership role, preferably as a Head of Development or similar.
• Experience in leading development teams of high growth SaaS products.
• Strong leadership and team management skills – manager of managers.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong technical expertise with solid experience with public cloud computing (preferably Azure), data engineering, and AI.
• Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with agile development processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for technology and a strong desire to innovate.
