High Voltage Senior Electrical Engineer, Project Lead

Your position  

In your new role as High Voltage Project Lead in the Renewable division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated High Voltage team responsible for design, installation, testing and commissioning of medium- and high voltage projects for large and specialized offshore substation projects. You will have the chance to collaborate with highly skilled colleagues and play a crucial role in designing offshore substations, from the tender phase through to commissioning. Above all, your work will make a real change in the global energy sector. 

You may choose to work from our head office in Esbjerg, our Nordhavn office close to the centre of Copenhagen, our office in the centre of Hamburg or the office in Gdynia, Poland. The position is full-time, and you can expect 10-30 travel days per year.

As part of the high voltage team, we get to contribute to some of the largest offshore substations the world has ever seen. You will travel to different countries and will be working with team members from multiple cultures. Further you will have the opportunity to involve in both the theoretical and practical aspects of offshore wind farm projects. This is done in an informal atmosphere with high focus on knowledge sharing and development,” says Wen Jui, Venkatesh and Michal from the High Voltage department. 

Your tasks & responsibilities 
As a Project Lead in the High Voltage department, you will be responsible for leading the high voltage scope of the projects, overseeing time and budget management, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure the project's successful completion.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for design, calculations and engineering of HV/MV equipment in our EPC projects.
• Handling suppliers, negotiations and contracts in cooperation with the Engineering Manager and procurement department
• Project managing and leading 3-4 Electrical project engineers including planning, scope split, time schedule, budget etc.
• Planning and attending FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover of projects to clients and their O&M organizations
• Developing, optimizing and standardizing technical solutions
• Participating in and supporting tenders

Your profile & qualifications 

We are looking for an outgoing and positive team player who is passionate about electrical project management and wants to leave a personal mark on it. You have a proactive and organised approach to your work and are eager to learn and develop in your role.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or High Voltage electrical power systems.
• A bachelor's or master’s degree in marine engineering with electrical experience. 
• Experience with project management and detailed engineering from offshore substations or other relevant electrical projects.
• The ability to communicate excellently in English, both verbally and in writing.
