HVAC & Clean Room Engineer

Join us at 25L PS API Expansions and become a part of one of Novo Nordisk’s most significant expansion projects. We are building a new API (active pharmaceutical ingredient) production facility in Hillerød that will employ around 340 colleagues. The highly automated production facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is flexible to accommodate new processes and products.  

The position 

In response to our expanding product pipeline, we are seeking an Engineering Responsible. Initially, your main responsibilities will involve gaining deep knowledge about the different systems/facilities in scope such as HVAC, clean rooms and Facility Monitoring System (FMS), which monitors all the critical parameters including temperature, relative humidity, and differential pressure in the areas.  

You will be supporting the Work Package Owner (WPO) during the implementation, testing, and validation of the different systems and facilities within scope. Upon full implementation, you will assume responsibility for the daily operation of these systems, ensuring state-of-the-art facilities that support non-stop production. 

Your responsibilities as part of a team will include: 

• Reviewing designs for HVAC, BMS, FMS, and cleanroom systems. 

• Planning and managing system commissioning and SAT. 

• Planning and managing validation strategy and execution. 

• Overseeing contractor installation and progress. 

• Contacting and coordinating with the Construction Management team.

This project will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in a new, high-profile greenfield project, where you will play a key role in shaping a large new production facility and team. Additionally, this position will involve approximately 20 days of travel within Europe per year.  

Qualifications 
To succeed in this role, you need to have: 

• A relevant academic degree, within engineering, marine engineer or similar (candidates with relevant technical background and extensive experience are welcome too). 

• 5+ years of experience from a similar role or project.  

• Technical and operational knowledge about HVAC, BMS, FMS and room conditions. 

• Technical and operational knowledge from a GMP facility is an advantage.  

• Familiarity of procedures, instructions and working knowledge of FDA and EU regulations is preferred. 

• Full professional proficiency in English.
