Looking for an independent working chef for restaurant Adyar Ananda Bhavan - Ganapathi Restaurants B.V. in Rotterdam.
Your responsibilities:
1. Prepare appetizers and main dishes that need to be baked, fried, and roasted.
2. Marinate vegetables, paneer, and tofu that need to be baked, fried, and roasted.
3. Prepare and produce South Indian vegetarian and Chinese vegetarian dishes, as well as Indian tandoori breads.
4. Carry out preparations, monitor/control quality, doneness, taste, color, consistency, etc., and make adjustments as needed.
5. In a small restaurant, the specialty chef also serves as a backup chef in emergencies.
6. Good knowledge of Eastern ingredients and their use in Indian cuisine.
7. Clean your own work area, kitchen equipment, and machines, and assist any kitchen helpers in thoroughly cleaning the kitchen.
8. A good team player who is flexible and possesses strong communication skills.
9. Learn tasks that can partially take over the duties of the sous chef/all-round chef in case of illness or vacation.
10. MBO level 3.
11. Experience in cooking large quantities for parties and events is required.
12. Knowledge of hygiene standards, such as HACCP regulations, is preferred.
