About the job 

This role focuses on controlling production costs, updating the company’s financial model, and supporting operational efficiency through cost analysis. 

The Industrial Controller will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting within SAP, analyzing production costs, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize expenses and improve operational performance.

Main tasks as Industrial Controller:

• Manage the financial period closing process in SAP, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management reports and business hypotheses.
• Develop and implement cost optimization initiatives based on production cost analysis by process.
• Support operational efficiency reporting and maintain close collaboration with head of departments and their managers.
• Update and maintain the company’s financial model.
• Provide temporary coverage for FP&A activities during vacations.

About you and your strong profile

You have significant experience with financial controlling and cost analysis, preferably from metallurgy, engineering or chemical industries and you must as a minimum have a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related field like a CIMA or ACCA certification.

You are of course proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP would be a plus) and data analysis tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Think Cell. But most importantly you have also strong analytical skills with the ability to identify weaknesses and opportunities for business improvements.

And finally, we emphasize that you can work independently and take responsibility for initiated activities. You have excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Our team

You will be part of an international team of six highly skilled professionals with in the following areas: FP&A, Finance and Partnership. You will report to the Head of Controlling & Finance at NLMK DanSteel.

On top we also have support from an external Shared Service Center and from our Controlling & Finance colleagues in NLMK Europe as well.

You will be a part of a dynamic and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth. Exposure to cross-functional teams and international operations.
