Industrial Relations Manager

For the Industrial Relations Department we are looking for an Industrial Relations Manager. You will be part of a small passionate team with two colleagues, and you will work in close cooperation with HR and other internal stakeholders. The Industrial Relations team aims to secure and maintain the best possible relationship between FLC and industrial organizations and to ensure good employment conditions for our employees based on local legislation and contractual agreements. Furthermore, you will assist and advise the management team in all aspects of the work.

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects.

Together, we are committed to working together to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals and ramps, delivered on time and safely, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

• Establish and maintain the best possible relationship between FLC and industrial organizations considering FLC’s overall strategy
• Development and agreement of conduct guidelines between FLC and the unions to avoid conflicts and ambiguities
• Preparation of guidelines for subcontractors
• Liaison between the company and the unions as well as the company and the shop stewards and all other employees
• Preparation of work time agreements and plans, shift plans and other local agreements
• Interpretation of collective and local agreements, including advising the project management
• Coordination and review external audits on subcontractors on compliance to the contract and Danish labour conditions. Meetings with subcontractors if the result of audit requires action
• Train colleagues in the collective agreement and various labour law subjects
• Negotiate and close local agreements
• Representation of FLC in case of conflicts

You will report to the HR Manager.

The ideal candidate has the capacity to manage different priorities, stakeholders and is people oriented with +5 years of experience within the field, preferably in the construction industry. Background and experience from an employers' association, trade union or HR is preferable. Moreover, you have:

• Experience in working with union representatives at all levels
• You are a seasoned negotiator
• Excellent language skills in English and Danish
• Demonstrated knowledge of the applicable collective agreements and Danish employment law.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Good problem-solving ability
• As a person you are flexible, well organised, self-motivated and holds a positive attitude with good stakeholder management skills
