International School of Hellerup søger dansklærer for MYP (klassetrinene 5. til 9.)

We are looking to employ a qualified and experienced IB MYP Danish Language Acquisition Teacher to join our Middle School’s Language Acquisition team.  This is a part-time, 65% maternity cover position, starting in April 2025 and running until June 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach intermediate-level Danish Language Acquisition to students in the IB Middle Years Programme.
• Develop and collaborate on curriculum planning with the Danish team.
• Deliver lessons aligned with MYP objectives and practices.
• Differentiating instruction and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Plan and deliver engaging, reflective lessons that motivate and stimulate student learning.
• Provide additional Danish language support as needed.
• Participate in MYP curriculum planning and professional development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive learning experiences.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Fluency in both Danish and English, with strong speaking and writing abilities in both languages.
• Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is preferable
• Proven experience in Language Acquisition teaching.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit a multicultural and multilingual environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Highly organized and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
• A passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.
