We are looking to employ a qualified and experienced IB MYP Danish Language Acquisition Teacher to join our Middle School's Language Acquisition team. This is a part-time position at 10% of full-time hours (approximately 4 hours per week), with classes scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This position would be ideal for professionals with existing teaching commitments who are looking to expand their experience with the MYP programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach advanced-level Danish Language Acquisition to students in the IB Middle Years Programme.
- Develop and collaborate on curriculum planning with the Danish team.
- Deliver lessons aligned with MYP objectives and practices.
- Differentiating instruction and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Plan and deliver engaging, reflective lessons that motivate and stimulate student learning.
- Provide additional Danish language support as needed.
- Participate in MYP curriculum planning and professional development.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive learning experiences.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Fluency in both Danish and English, with strong speaking and writing abilities in both languages.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme is preferable
- Proven experience in Language Acquisition teaching.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Highly organized and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
- A passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment.
