iOS Software Engineer

40% of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste. 

We’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions - such as our Retail Technologies offering, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of 108 million registered users and 245,000 active partners across 19 countries, have together already prevented 395+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding over 1066.000 tonnes of CO2e!

The Role

We are looking for an iOS Software Engineer to join our Consumer Matching team, focused on presenting the best products for the individual user as well as general user experience when using our app.

Too Good To Go is expanding, bringing in more developers and rapidly growing our codebase. 

As part of the Consumer Matching  team, your focus will be developing features that empower users when browsing the app as well as maintaining and iterating on the existing functionality.

Your mission will be to help refine, design, plan, implement and maintain a range of features that help save surplus food from our partner stores. 

You will be working in one of our product teams that consists of people with different skillsets, ranging from app development to backend, design, analytics and product management.

The Tech Stack

Our tech stack includes an iOS app built with Swift and SwiftUI, following the MVVM design pattern. We use github for code collaboration and CircleCI for distribution.
