emagine is seeking a skilled IT Architect for a new assignment with our client in the banking sector. This role involves participating in defining, managing, and driving the platform architecture for the client’s new Nordic-wide Core Banking Platform. The ideal candidate will proactively collaborate with stakeholders, contribute to defining and maintaining the technical architecture, and help prepare the backlog for the Technology and Infrastructure team within the Core Banking Program.

Purpose of the Job:
As a member of a highly skilled team of architects and experts, you will:
Collaborate with stakeholders on value-driven strategy.
Drive the vision for, creation of, and delivery of the platform and infrastructure for the Core Banking Platform.
Contribute to defining and maintaining the technical architecture.
Help prepare the backlog for the next PI for the Technology and Infrastructure team.
Key Accountabilities:
Technology Focus:
Document and communicate the integrations and interfaces in the Core business flows across multiple platforms and architectures.
Contribute to documenting the required Information Systems and Platform Enabler Capabilities and problem spaces.
Contribute to core compliance documents (SDD, TRRD).
Participate in IT systems and IT infrastructure designs, following the client’s architecture governance.
Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps for Core Banking Technology and Infrastructure.
Work with Product Management and Release Train Engineers to drive delivery of technology solutions.
Coach and assist developers, platform teams, ops teams, and Infrastructure teams on best practices and key knowledge areas like Non-Functional Requirements, Monitoring, and Root Cause identification.
Description of Knowledge and Experience:
Skills:
Proven stakeholder management experience in the IT technology domain.
Strong banking background, with Core banking transformation experience preferred.
Business knowledge (Professional level).
IT infrastructure and technical architecture (Professional level).
Conceptual thinking (Professional level).
Integration Architecture.
Key Technology Knowledge:
IBM Mainframe.
Transition from Mainframe to Midrange.
Message Queueing (MQ, Kafka).
Additional Technology Knowledge (considered an advantage):
Temenos T24/Transact.
Integration principles, technologies, and concepts (OSB, MQ, WebLogic or similar).
Agile methodology and practices (SAFe preferred).
Continuous integration and development pipelines (source code pipeline setup and support).
