Junior BI Developer

Are you an analytical person with a passion for business intelligence? Would you like to be part of an experienced BI development team to provide actionable insights that will drive strategic decisions and optimize our ways of working? Then this might be the position for you!

We are now looking for a Junior BI Developer at A. Espersen A/S – one of Europe’s leading private label producers in the Frozen Fish category. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of our Power BI solution.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in developing and maintaining BI reports and dashboards primarily using Microsoft Power BI
• Collaborate with data analysts and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Conduct data analysis and build queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources
• Support data integration projects and ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Participate in testing and debugging BI solutions to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Document BI processes and workflows for future reference and knowledge sharing

You will become part of a dedicated BI team within Group Finance where you will engage with stakeholders across the whole organization, in both Denmark and our other sites located in 6 different countries in Europe and Asia— to develop reports and data tools that enable stakeholders to manage their respective areas effectively.

The ideal candidate likely holds a Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or other related fields.

Further, we expect you to be an advanced user of the Microsoft office package (especially Excel). It will be considered an advantage if you are familiar with one or several BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).

Our corporate language is English, so we expect you to master this – both written and spoken.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work with larger datasets and an interest in data visualization and reporting best practices. You consider yourself as a good teamplayer with professional communication skills – both in relation to your team members and other stakeholders in the organization. Further, you possess strong problem solving skills to identify issues and find effective solutions.

You will work from our headquarter in Kastrup and report to our Finance Business Partner & Team Leader for Group BI. Preferred start date would be in December 2024 or January 2025.
