Do you want to be part of it?
We are now hiring a Junior Platform Engineer who will work with the rest of the team to facilitate the building and operations of the Platform; you will be mentored directly on the tools and techniques used in this GitOps centric team. As you grow in your skill set you will be expected to pick up your own projects and grow towards becoming a Senior Platform Engineer.
You will report to our Director of Platform and have our awesome Engineering Teams as your closest collaborators.
This is a full-time position at our Penneo HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark.
About the team
Previously called “Infrastructure Team”, The Platform Team was rebranded to better fit our ambitions to build a platform that can be used across products to enable our engineers to be more independent.
To fit the growth of our Engineering department, we want to scale the Platform team to meet the demands of the other product teams. The good news is that joining a growing team will give you the opportunity to shape how this team evolves, which best practices to follow, and establish ways of working. The Platform team is growing and is currently formed by the Director of Platform and two Senior Platform Engineers. The Engineering team consists of 20+ people, and zooming out, Penneo as a whole, recently became a 100+ people company.
A big part of your role will be developing, deploying, and maintaining DevOps tooling and Infrastructure to make the software delivery system run smoothly. This also involves building reusable components, creating new and maintaining existing environments.
Supporting the development teams in getting code into production and providing them with the needed self service tooling to accelerate their daily work.
You will be expected to learn to design, plan and implement secure and reliable infrastructure and then maintain it through its lifecycles.
