About ‘All Gravy’

The next generation of employees are used to apps like Instagram, TikTok and Spotify in their personal life - but when they go to work at a restaurant chain or retail store, they’re met with software created before they were born.

We are modernising the tools for frontline employees and transforming the experience into one that is engaging and motivating; making their lives easier - from getting paid to developing their careers. We’re innovating on the whole employee journey: from being recruited, onboarded, growing skills and connecting with co-workers.

We've grown 16% avg month over month for the past year and are looking to accelerate further. We already work with some of the most exciting brands in the the Nordics (Q8, 7-Eleven, Best Western, Tusenfryd, Bø Sommarland, Yellow) and we're now quickly expanding into the United Kingdom with some of the coolest companies (such as Dishoom, Pizza Pilgrims, Honest Burgers, Wahaca)

We're backed by some of Europe’s leading investors (Moonfire, Upfin, Founders, Nordic Web Ventures) and Angels (Bradley Horowitz (GP, Wisdom Ventures), Terese Hougaard (Partner, Atomico), Phil Chambers (CEO, Peakon).

Who are we?

We are passionate, have an ambitious mission, and our users love us! ♥️

And this is just the beginning. The best is yet to come, and we hope to bring you on board to achieve this mission together. We are a fun and hard-working team that is looking for passionate professionals to join our mission. Join us to shape the future for shift & gig workers

The role: Junior User Researcher

We are looking for a Junior User Researcher to join our product team in Copenhagen on a part-time basis (approximately 10–20 hours per week).

In this role, you will be the voice of our users – the frontline hospitality and retail employees – and help ensure our product truly meets their needs. You’ll dive deep into qualitative research, primarily conducting in-depth interviews to uncover insights about our users’ experiences, pain points, and motivations. This is not a desk-only job: you'll take initiative to find and meet users in person, visiting workplaces (restaurants, cafes, shops) and engaging potential interviewees through cold canvassing to gather authentic feedback. After collecting insights, you will translate your findings into clear, actionable recommendations and present them to our Product Designers and Product Managers, directly influencing the features we build and how we improve the user experience.

 The job and responsibilities

  • Conduct User Interviews & Field Research: Schedule and carry out face-to-face interviews with frontline workers. Document their day-to-day challenges and gather raw feedback.
  • Proactive Participant Recruitment: Take the lead in recruiting interviewees by visiting restaurants and other venues. Approach people in person and spark their interest in sharing insights.
  • Synthesize Insights: Turn interview notes into findings that highlight key pain points.
  • Present Findings to the Team: Regularly share user stories, reports, or quick briefs with Product Designers and Managers.
  • Collaborate on Product Improvements: Work with the Product and Design Team to shape our roadmap. Advocate for user needs from discovery to launch.

All Gravy is undergoing high growth; hence the job and responsibilities will develop over time, and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to learn and grow.

    Who are you?

You’re a people-person and a natural investigator. Perhaps you’re the kind of person who always wonders why people do the things they do. You thrive on uncovering stories and understanding perspectives that others might miss. To succeed in this role, you will likely identify with some of the following:

    • User-Centric & Curious: You’re keen to understand why people do what they do and improve their experiences. You’re studying a relevant field (Digital Design, UX/UI, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Sociology or similar) and can’t wait to put human-centered research into practice.
    • Comfortable with Fieldwork: You enjoy leaving the building to find insights by speaking to real people. You’re happy approaching strangers for interviews and making them feel at ease.
    • Analytical & Insightful: You spot patterns in interview notes and transform raw data into recommendations. You can share these insights in a way that clearly guides the team.
    • Qualifications: You’re a university student able to work about 10–20 hours per week. You communicate fluently in English and Danish.

Note: We are looking for a student. We don’t expect you to master all of the above. On the contrary, we are looking for a candidate we can help develop and upskill to become a true user research champion.

    What we offer

At All Gravy, we’re a motivated, young, and dynamic team working closely together on our mission – at the moment, we are 33 people and cannot wait to welcome the next person to the team! We have fun together while collaborating to create a product people love, and we aspire to be the best place to work.

Our office is in central Copenhagen and has all the perks you’d expect from a startup – daily lunches, lots of social events (padel tournaments, dinners, wine-tastings, strategy offsites... you name it!), a foosball table, a stocked fridge with snacks & drinks, and a regular Friday bar. Plus, we offer flexible working hours to accommodate your studies and a chance to gain real-world experience in a high-growth tech startup environment.

Join us at All Gravy and help shape the future for shift and gig workers, one user insight at a time!
