We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Key Account Director to drive and increase sales for our GROWN UP Licenses business within the bags and luggage category. The primary focus will be Scandinavia, Benelux, UK & the DACH region. This exciting position involves managing key accounts directly, winning and retaining important customers while also leading and developing the back-office team based in our Aarhus office. As our company continues to grow, there will be more opportunities to take on additional brands and further expand the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Leadership: Drive and manage sales for key brands including LEGO®, Caterpillar® and Ellehammer.
- Key Account Management: Directly handle, maintain and grow relationships with key retail partners in mass retail, including hypermarkets.
- Business Development: Identify and win large new accounts.
- Team Management: Lead and inspire the sales team based in Aarhus, ensuring strong collaboration, performance, and development.
- Regional Focus: Focus on Scandinavia, Benelux, UK and the DACH market while being adaptable to expanding to new regions and brands as the business grows.
- Strategic Development: Develop and execute strategies to meet sales targets, increase market shares and enhance brand presence in the region.
- Travel: Frequent travel (approx. 40 -50 days per year) to visit key clients and key markets.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Min 5-7 years of experience in successful key account management, sales and business development, particularly within the mass retail sector of FMCG.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and driving performance.
- Proven experience and success in managing large key accounts, sustaining and enhancing strong relations with key mass retailers and achieving sales targets.
- Knowledge of the bags and luggage market or the apparel and footwear industries is preferable.
- Fluent in English and proficiency in German.
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a solution-oriented approach.
