Welcome to the Indirect Tax team
You will become part of our team where we are about 30 colleagues. We have an informal and humorous tone, while also caring about each other and supporting one another in completing tasks.

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant focusing on M&A, you will collaborate with colleagues in our two offices in Aarhus and (particularly) Hellerup.

Since we assist with the M&A process in connection with the purchase and sale of various types of companies in all industries, large and small, Danish and international, you will engage broadly with VAT legislation and the issues that can arise in connection with everything from international trade to VAT exemptions and compliance.

Your tasks in connection with M&A will be within the framework set by the due diligence process, but will vary from project to project, as no two companies are alike. The M&A process will include the following tasks:

• Identifying and quantifying VAT-related issues in diverse companies
•  Managing virtual data rooms, including reviewing documentation from a VAT perpsective and asking follow up questionsParticipating in meetings with the target company and managing VAT-related questions
• Preparing reports on conclusions from the examination of target companies
• Coordinating the M&A process with colleagues in our corporate tax department as well as external consultants

Your profile
We imagine that you have a relevant education or background in economics, law, or a combination thereof (e.g., cand.merc.aud., cand.merc.jur., cand.jur., or similar) and/or currently work with Indirect Tax/tax or auditing.

As a recent graduate, it is not a requirement or our expectation that you already have knowledge of either VAT law or the M&A process. To succeed in the role, it is instead crucial that you demonstrate commitment, curiosity, and drive, so that together we can develop your existing skills. Note that work in this role will primarily be conducted in English. Therefore, we expect you to be comfortable and articulate in English, both written and spoken.

In your work with VAT-related M&A due diligence, it is important that all relevant issues are uncovered. Therefore, we expect you to be detail-oriented, analytically well-founded, and work in a structured manner.

Additionally, the M&A process requires that you can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, take responsibility for your tasks, and take the initiative to drive the process forward.
