Laboratory Assistant Positions at the University of Copenhagen – Department of Neuroscience

The Bellardita Laboratory is seeking three Laboratory Assistants to join our team. These part-time positions are ideal for individuals passionate about supporting scientific research in a dynamic academic setting. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will contribute to maintaining an efficient and safe laboratory environment while assisting with crucial research support tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chemical Solution Preparation: Measure, mix, and store various chemical solutions according to standard laboratory procedures.
• Laboratory Maintenance: Ensure the lab remains clean and organized, including washing and sterilizing glassware, managing waste disposal, and maintaining lab equipment.
• Waste Management: Maintain cleanliness and safely dispose of non-chemical waste in accordance with safety regulations.
• Aliquoting: Accurately divide and prepare samples and reagents to ensure consistency in experiments.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Place of employment

The place of employment is Bellardita Laboratory, Department of Neuroscience, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.
One position starts on March 20, 2025 and two positions start on April 1, 2025. Both until 30 June 2025.

Terms of salary and employment

The employment as laboratory Assistant is a part time and fixed-term position, 10 work hours a week on average.

Employment as Laboratory Assistant will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and OAO/HK STAT. The position is placed in salary group 1.
