The Danish Polymer Centre seeks a skilled and motivated laboratory technician/assistant interested in polymer analysis.
The job
We are looking for a laboratory technician/assistant with flair and interest in polymer chemistry and analysis for a versatile position where you will assist in various research projects and teach students analysis techniques in the lab. At the Danish Polymer Centre, we develop and test new polymer and elastomer materials and develop new methods for testing them.
Practical experience with polymer testing and analysis
We expect that you are a person who thrives in laboratory settings, is deeply interested in polymer materials and their properties, and is motivated to develop novel testing methods with the research group.
The Centre has many students doing their final projects in our lab, so you must also be motivated and interested in instructing and guiding students in their laboratory work. You will oversee introductions to laboratory safety and ensure guidelines and safety equipment are up to date.
The job also involves organizing the laboratory and chemicals, including handling chemical waste. You will prepare and analyze polymer samples and execute ad hoc experimental and analytical research tasks.
We expect that you have experience working as a laboratory technician or hold a master’s degree in chemical engineering, for example. In addition, you have practical experience with use of:

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for Engineering Assistants and Research Technicians at research institutions etc.
The position is a permanent full-time position. We expect a start date from 1 May 2025 or soon thereafter.
