Layout Engineer

Your position 
In your new position as Layout Engineer in the Transitional Energies Division, you will be a key member of a dedicated team focused on delivering technical solutions for energy projects. You will have the chance to work on exciting projects in the sustainable energy sector, making a real difference in shaping the future of the industry.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel up to [xx] days per year. 

Your tasks & responsibilities 
As a Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for the 3D modelling and layout design in onshore CCS, PtX, and energy projects. 

Your tasks will include but are not limited to: 

• Performing the overall project engineering scope for 3D-modelling and layout of onshore CCS, PtX, and energy projects, including equipment spacing, supports, cable tray, pipe, and duct routing 
• Coordinating and participate in multidiscipline interfaces between teams and client clarifications 
• Conducting 3D reviews and coordinating input from various stakeholders 
• Working closely with other designers and structural partners to ensure smooth project execution 
• Contributing to the product line and tender phase, developing new solutions and bidding on exciting new projects 

Your profile & qualifications 
We are looking for an outgoing and positive Layout Engineer who is passionate about sustainable energy and wants to leave their personal mark on the industry. You have a proactive and organised approach to your work and are eager to find creative solutions for complex challenges. 

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have: 

• Experience working with 3D tools in project design, with knowledge of AVEVA E3D/PDMS being an advantage 
• A technical background such as Production Technologist/Technical Designer, B.Eng / BSc., or similar 
• Prior experience in onshore energy or process plant projects is preferred but not essential 
• Strong communication skills in both Danish and English, both written and verbal 
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across multiple disciplines and teams
