We are soon opening the doors to Le Grand Rouge, our new bistro in Christianshavn, located in one of the city’s best spots. Le Grand Rouge is the big brother of the already well-established Le Petit Rouge in the city center. We are building on everything you know and love from Le Petit—now with even more space, an even better view, and exciting new dishes on the menu.

We are now looking for talented kitchen staff to help us create big flavors at small prices.

Le Grand Rouge is a tribute to classic French brasserie cuisine—packed with flavor, made with love, and priced so that everyone can join in. Inspired by the French bistro kitchen, with a few Mediterranean influences, we create an informal, cozy, and delicious dining experience.

Located right on the waterfront with a view of Nyhavn and the harbor, we are the perfect place for a quick lunch in the sun, a cozy dinner in bright surroundings, or a festive evening with friends and family. Whether it’s a small gathering or a large party, we keep our prices accessible to all.

 

What will your responsibilities be?

  • You are ready to take overall responsibility for the kitchen when the head chef is not present.
  • You work independently and take responsibility for the daily operations of the kitchen.
  • You are involved in both service and preparation while also taking on leadership responsibilities.
  • You take an active role in ensuring the kitchen runs optimally.
  • You lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring smooth collaboration.
  • You are willing to be trained in administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and planning.

 

What does it take to succeed as a Sous Chef with us?

  • You are organized, passionate, and dedicated—both during service and prep.
  • Strong communication skills and can collaborate effectively with the head chef and the rest of the team.
  • You have an eye for detail and ensure that every dish meets Le Grand Rouge’s standards.
  • You can work efficiently under pressure and stay calm in busy situations.
  • Experience as a sous chef is an advantage, but solid kitchen experience is essential.
