As a Lead Mechanical Engineer in the Thermal Power Plant Sector, your expertise will be essential in shaping the future of sustainable energy generations. Our broad expertise enables multidisciplinary collaboration in energy storage, green hydrogen, e-fuels and similar disciplines. You’ll be working with us and collaborating with our customers on groundbreaking projects, such as . Your key activities will include:
Leading the mechanical design and engineering activities for thermal power plant projects while ensuring alignment with technical specifications and regulatory requirements Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, and provide guidance on design and analysis Conduct feasibility studies, performance analyses and system optimizations to enhance efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines, including electrical, civil and environmental, to ensure integrated solutions Prepare and review technical documentation including design calculations, specifications, reports and project plans – as well as reviewing and approving suppliers’ technical proposals, and manage vendor relationships Your skills. The first step to success in this role is that you are openminded and eager to collaborate with the people around you, as you will have a large interface in this role. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve. On top of that, you will have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of experience within engineering, or a technical environment such as Thermal power sector or CCUS / PtX Proven knowledge of and experience within mechanical design and engineering of power plant systems – including boilers, turbines, pumps and heat exchanger In-depth experience with some of the following: Pipe sizing and materials, volumes and flow rates, pressures/stress analyses, piping system supports/fasteners or automated/mechanical features Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines Proficiency in English, both verbally and written
