Lead Software Developer

As a Lead Software Developer at Energi Danmark your main role is to build and maintain scalable and maintainable software systems supporting the business processes, so that Energi Danmark's knowledge of the energy markets is efficiently leveraged to provide excellent customer service and support trading.

Responsibilities

To be a success in this role:

• You are used to have technical leadership and provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers while leveraging your expertise to solve complex technical challenges and uphold coding standards
   
• You collaborate with the designated Architect to lead the design of software systems, making strategic decisions to align with project goals and requirements. You ensure that appropriate technologies and frameworks are selected, and that the architectural design is accurately implemented and consistently reflected in the codebase
   
• You have a hands-on approach to coding critical components of our software, conducting thorough code reviews to maintain quality and adherence to best practices and architectural integrity
   
• You collaborate with team members to plan development tasks, estimate timelines, and ensure projects progress smoothly, communicating effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations
   
• You act as a liaison between the development team and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, gathering feedback, and facilitating productive discussions
   
• You utilize your problem-solving skills to address technical issues as they arise, guiding the team in implementing effective solutions and maintaining project momentum
   
• You stay informed about emerging technologies, design principles and industry trends, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of learning within the team

You will be part of a close-knit IT development team, which consists of six software developers who primarily develop IT solutions for internal use in the Energi Danmark group. You will quickly get to know your colleagues, as the team you become part of distributes tasks internally, spares with each other and generally values ​​cooperation. Your future manager has several years of experience in Energi Danmark and emphasizes freedom and co- responsibility in his management style. In this way, you will have great opportunity to immerse yourself in your particular area of ​​responsibility.
