The Job
We are currently seeking teachers to deliver modules and workshops on academic writing, supporting skills, and employability, as well as to serve as Academic Practice Officers. The preferred start date for this position is January 1st, 2025, or as soon as possible.
The role
The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching non-credit Academic Workshop modules, instructing students in soft skills, conducting orientation week sessions, and designing and delivering various ad-hoc academic support activities. Additionally, the candidates will join the Academic Integrity team, where they will investigate allegations of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, cheating, and falsification of academic records.
Furthermore, candidates will collaborate closely with the Head of Academic Support and Integrity on projects focused on employability and alumni engagement. This will include supporting the development of employability strategies, assisting with organizing and/or facilitating workshops, maintaining alumni networks, and contributing to various initiatives, involving social media, to enhance both alumni relations and employability efforts, all with the goal of improving career readiness.
The Requirements for the Position
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
A relevant master’s degree as the minimum requirement, though a Ph.D. is preferred.
Exceptional English language skills, both spoken and written (Danish is not required). Note that proficiency in English must be at a high academic level, suitable for teaching in an academic setting.
Relevant college-level teaching experience; research experience is an advantage.
Experience in administering courses in a hybrid online/onsite format.
Experience in employability program development and alumni engagement (desirable).
Strong IT skills, including the ability to develop and test online course materials.
Proactivity, curiosity, and independence.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player.
A talent for cultural understanding and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of colleagues and students from Europe, Asia, and around the world.
Danish work and residence permit, if applicable.
Employment
Employment will be secured as per collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the AC trade union.
