DonkeyRepublic is looking for a part-time employee for the role of Logistics and Operations Assistant to support several departments with various tasks. 


About the Team and Role

Our team is a crucial part of the Supply Chain Management department and one that our revenue-generating operations and partners cannot function without. We procure components for bicycles and we make sure both parts and bicycles are delivered to different locations in Europe, and sometimes outside. 

We are a small, but mighty and diverse team from different parts of Europe and together we work as a unit to deliver the best service possible.


What you will be doing:

  • Shipping - you’ll have to book different types of shipments (AIR, ROAD, SEA) from different locations and multiple platforms. This includes the possibility of having to pick and pack the goods. 

    • Bicycles and components

    • Dangerous goods (you’ll have to take a course to be able to ship and we will take care of that for you)

    • Documents

    • Miscellaneous

  • Warranty Claims - you’ll support one of our colleagues in troubleshooting and processing warranty claims. The goods are usually bicycle parts or related to bicycles. 

  • Procurement - one of our team’s responsibilities is to procure spare-parts for maintaining our fleet of bicycles, you’ll be helping our department in completing certain steps in these processes. 

  • Processes creation and assessment - you’ll be helping with the creation and optimization of internal processes. 

  • Administrative tasks - while the above points highlight the main areas of responsibility, there will also be other miscellaneous tasks that your manager will be delegated on an ongoing basis. This can be anything from small projects of data processing and assessment to answering various emails, making calls, etc. 


What you’ll need to thrive:

  • We expect you to have completed at least a Bachelor's degree. 

  • Work experience with ERP systems, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management is a big plus. 

  • You must be able to work independently and you are a proactive team player. 

  • Good at planning and managing tasks. 

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required. 

  • Comfortable and interested in learning to navigate various computer-based platforms. 

  • Experience in data analysis is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of bicycle parts is an advantage.

  • You should be able to work with ease in Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel.

  • Fluency in English is required. Danish is a plus, not a must. 


The logistics:

  • You’ll be reporting to the SPM department manager. 

  • You must be working 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. 

  • You should expect to work more during the high season (May-September). 

  • You must have a Danish work permit.

  • The workplace is located at 2 different addresses where you have to attend based on the Manager’s guidelines. 

    • Skelbaekgade 4B, 1717 Copenhagen, Denmark - 70% of the time (can change)

    • Helgeshoj Alle 22, Taastrup 2630, Denmark - 30% of the time (can change)

Availability and deadline:

  • We interview on an ongoing basis so the earlier you apply the better.

  • The vacancy is to be occupied as soon as possible, and is part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (4 hours a day). However, if the workload increases and we are happy with your performance it can transform into a full-time position.
