The Position

You will be the people manager for the API Onboarding and Academy team which consists of 9 dedicated employees with various backgrounds and competence levels. The team is a support function to the departments in our production and project areas. The key responsibility for the team is to develop, deliver and optimize different Onboarding programs that runs every month such as our Training Academy for new employees, and other similar initiatives. The department also runs Onboarding projects and has a subgroup that works with English Translations. In this role, other responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of 9 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and open working environment. Supervise and develop the team to ensure an engaging and motivating atmosphere, promoting team spirit and collaboration
  • Onboarding and Academy: Guide the team in developing and delivering high-quality onboarding initiatives to new employees in API, overseeing aspects such as the daily operations of the Training Academy, participate in the development of new onboarding solutions, and onboarding projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across different locations and levels. The team works cross-organisationally, emphasising the importance of understanding the business area broadly.
  • Customer focus: Ensure that all activities is aligned with the current needs of the productions areas and projects.

The department collaborates closely with other teams, leveraging multiple synergies and deliverables. These initiatives span across various sites in Sjælland, with additional projects in the pipeline. Your pivotal role will involve translating production needs into actionable initiatives, working alongside your colleagues to develop them. Consequently, we are seeking a manager with production experience, as well as a keen interest in or experience with onboarding and training activities

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the ideal person will possess a degree in a relevant field, ideally a Master’s. Other key experiences and skills are as follows:

  • Experience in Line of Business (LoB) with a strong understanding of LoB needs and the correlation between onboarding/training activities and LoB requirements. Capable of translating LoB needs into effective onboarding initiatives.
  • Preferred candidate comes with a strong leadership experience, however people from trainee programs or transitioning from LoB into a leadership role are welcome to apply.
  • Proficient in managing a wide stakeholder network, adept at clear and effective communication and expectation setting.
  • Possesses a quality mindset and comprehensive understanding of training within Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) frameworks.
  • Demonstrates creativity within GMP frameworks, with an ability to think innovatively. Displays a keen interest in driving training and onboarding ambitions across API.

About the department

The API Training Department, of which your will be a part, collaborates across different production departments to provide training consultancy and onboarding support. The department is focused on high engagement, performance, and personal development. We foster a social working environment where sparring and humor are highly valued. The department is recently established as it was before one team that is now divided into more teams, and you will be part of a small management group with a very large stakeholder group and big ambitions to build up a high performing department.
