The position 

In your capacity as a Manager of BDIS, the key responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing a team of 6 team members. 
  • Driving and owning the financial input, support and analysis for Business Development projects across the R&D organisation and acting as main financial anchor-point for the BD organisation into Finance 
  • Leading and driving financial integrations for all R&D acquisitions 
  • Global financial ownership of the total R&D investments for Long term-forecasting and therapy area resource allocation 
  • Global ownership of budgeting and forecasting systems across R&D 

 

Furthermore, you are expected to partner with key stakeholders at senior managerial level, to support strategic discussions with financial insights, mainly related to R&D investments, deal assessments (Due Diligence) and deal structure recommendations while leading and motivating a high-performing team. 

 

Qualifications 

To excel in this role, you’ll bring the following set of skills and experience: 

  • Master’s degree in economics, Finance or similar. 
  • Ample experience and a proven track record within business partnering, financial management. Prior R&D (Finance) experience is not required, but a general experience working with FP&A, M&A and financial integrations will be an advantage 
  • Project management and financial modelling experience.  
  • A solid understanding within the field of accounting and finance. 
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English, with excellent communication skills. 

As a person, you will utilise your excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills to help present complex financial matters in a simple way. Being proactive, self-driven and a pleasantly persistent team player with great analytical and problem-solving skills are your key attributes for this position.  

 

About the department 

BDIS is a part of Novo Nordisk Business Finance and is in charge of providing financial input to various business development/M&A  deals, driving insights into resource allocation and productivity for R&D and conducting long-term forecasting, as well as developing and maintaining finance systems used across R&D. In R&ED and BDIS Finance you will be part of a young and ambitious team consisting of around 25 dedicated employees in Denmark and USA, supported by colleagues from Global Business Services in India. Our overall ambition is to create value through Finance Partnering to our stakeholders by combining strong financial competencies with a solid insight of the business in which we operate. To do this, we collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organization. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through close sparring, frequent feedback and by giving inspiring tasks and a high degree of responsibility.
