Purpose of the position
As the Global Process Owner for Product and Item Data, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and quality of product and item information throughout our global organization. This role will involve designing and implementing streamlined processes, fostering data governance initiatives, exploring automation opportunities, and supporting business growth. A key responsibility will be overseeing spare parts structures within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, including kits, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs).
Main tasks and responsibilities
Process Ownership: Develop, document, and manage global processes related to product and item data, including creation, maintenance.
Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and integrity.
Data Quality: Implement and oversee data quality initiatives to identify and address data inconsistencies and errors.
Master Data Management: Manage the master data repository and ensure data accuracy and consistency across all systems and applications.
Data Integration: Oversee the integration of product and item data across various systems and platforms.
Business Enablement: Support business operations by providing timely and accurate product and item data.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, supply chain, IT) to gather requirements, address data needs, and ensure alignment.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance data quality.
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, information technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management or a similar role.
Strong understanding of product and item data concepts and processes.
Experience with master data management (MDM) tools and technologies.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience in a global organization with a complex product portfolio.
Knowledge of data modeling and database design.
Certification in data management or a related field.
