Purpose of the position
The Manager, Global Process Owner - Quality and Claims is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end quality, compliance, and claims processes across the organization. This role will drive process excellence, efficiency, and compliance while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Process Ownership:
Own and manage the entire quality, compliance, and claims process, from quality control to customer dispute resolution.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including flowcharts, procedures, and policies.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, and minimize customer dissatisfaction.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and implement quality standards and metrics to ensure product or service quality.
Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify and address non-conformances.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal policies, including and not limited to dual use, sanctions and embargoes, certification (IHM, MD, 3.2.).
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance risks.
Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees.
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in quality management, compliance, and claims handling.
Strong understanding of quality management systems and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and drive change.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience from marine, heavy or machine industry preferred.
Hands on experience on material testing or testing supervision required (steel, casting, forgings).
Hands on experience with pressure testing required (flexible hoses and pressure vessels).
Knowledge of industrial codes (i.e. AD2000) incl. maritime rules in terms of testing standards.
ISO 14000, 18000, 28000, 45000 will be an advantage for this position.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or a similar process improvement methodology.
Experience in a multinational corporation.
