Opening Summer 2025 – the opportunity to join the pre-opening team of 1 Hotel Copenhagen and bring a transformative brand to Denmark.  

1 Hotel Copenhagen is centrally located at the intersection of the city’s vibrant Latin Quarter and its historic heart; it will feature 282 rooms including 30 suites.  With a Green-Michelin-starred Chef at the helm, the property will also feature locally sourced, seasonal cuisine as eclectic as the city itself at the signature restaurant and bar. Guests and locals alike can find tranquility in the nature-inspired Bamford Wellness Spa, connected with the natural world in the property’s urban garden complete an on-site bee hotel, or embark on an adventure, exploring Copenhagen's rich tapestry of parks and museums on bike.  

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation, development, and execution of the property’s marketing efforts, and for identifying, qualifying, and actively pursuing marketing opportunities. Our Marketing Manager’s ultimate goal is creating a direct positive impact on hotel performance and profitability, with a focus on wellness, food & drink, culture, music, art & craft. 

About you...  

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Marketing Manager role. 
  • Detailed knowledge of the Copenhagen media and influencer landscape, with insight into what is happening across food, beverage, fashion, and wellness across the city 
  • You stay informed about current trends and developments, and have a robust network of relevant industry contacts. 
  • You’re an expert in content capture, photography, and videography, with experience in video production and editing apps like CapCut. 
  • You have a creative eye and strong visual storytelling skills, with a deep understanding of what resonates with audiences 
  • You’re a strategic thinker who can translate brand goals into compelling consumer experiences. 
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. 
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can easily adapt your tone to reflect each unique brand voice. 
  • You’re a proactive leader and collaborative team player who can work independently and across teams to bring ideas to life. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics and experience working in Canva or InDesign is also advantageous. 

About the role… 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive annual marketing plans aimed at achieving revenue, brand growth, and business objectives for the hotel and its outlets. 
  • Manage and optimize all marketing channels, including digital, social media, CRM, and traditional PR, ensuring campaigns align with brand values and drive local and global visibility. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (General Managers, Sales, F&B, Revenue, Corporate Marketing) to integrate marketing initiatives with property goals and enhance the overall guest experience. 
  • Oversee agency and freelancer relationships, setting clear KPIs, monitoring performance, and ensuring campaigns deliver measurable ROI and align with press narratives. 
  • Collaborate on CRM and B2B marketing strategies to create targeted initiatives that support sales objectives and foster strong business relationships.
