To strengthen the R&D team, Ellab are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative solutions for products.

What will you be doing in the role?

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of their skilled R&D team of 40+ professionals, playing a key role in the design and development of mechanical solutions for both new and existing products. You will work closely with Product Management and production, focusing on functionality, design, cost optimization, sustainability, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM). This is a critical role, as the team solves mechanical challenges when critical production issues arise and specialized help is needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

● Designing, dimensioning, and optimizing mechanical components using CAD
software (Autodesk) for electronic and hardware solutions.
● Material selection (typically work with stainless steel, aluminum, and PEEK) and manufacturing process optimization to ensure optimal performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.● Translating user requirements and technical specifications into functional designs.
● Optimizing and troubleshooting existing products.
● Participating in prototype testing and assembly.
● Documenting designs in ERP system (Business Central) and managing Change Control tasks in the GMS system (Global Management System).
Skills and experience you will bring to Ellab

Ellab are looking for a candidate with:

● A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
● +3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within electronics or hardware development.
● Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.● Knowledge of machining processes (turning/milling), sheet metal design, and 3D
printing are a plus.
● Strong analytical skills and an innovative, quality-conscious mindset.
● The ability to work independently while being a great team player across disciplines.

Since Ellab experience peak periods, you should be flexible regarding working hours.
However, regular working hours are Monday to Friday within standard office hours.
