The Position
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in driving development projects and ensuring the continuous maintenance of our Clinical Packaging Lines (CPL). Your work will help maintain high compliance standards while securing stability and predictability in our packaging operations.
You will be part of the 506.06 CSPS Facility, IT & Projects Team, collaborating closely with the Packaging & Facility Support Team. Your tasks will vary from day to day—one day, you might be troubleshooting a deviation in the packaging process, and the next, you could be installing and qualifying a new robotic application on the CPL.
Your ability to navigate the intersection between engineering and maintenance will be essential to your success in this role.

About the Department
Clinical Supplies Packaging & Shipping (CSPS) is part of CMC Development and Scaling and is responsible for packaging and shipping medicine for clinical trials worldwide. The department has grown significantly in recent years and now consists of six teams and approximately 100 employees.
We have invested in several automation projects to enhance the quality of clinical packaging. Our multiple packaging lines and associated facilities are continuously evolving to support new research areas, products, and devices. This means we must balance delivering packaged products for ongoing trials while modifying our packaging lines for new formats.
With an increasing number of clinical trials, we are focused on stable operations, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making to improve our automated packaging processes.
You’ll join a dynamic team of approximately 19 colleagues, primarily focusing on equipment development (CPL), facility & utility projects, and IT initiatives.
