Mechanical Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor with an engineering background for 12-16 months to join our team for a Mill Project. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising detailed engineering, execution, and commissioning phases. You will ensure that all mechanical engineering aspects align with mechanical guidelines, design criteria, and industry standards while maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, cost efficiency, and timeline management. This position will oversee PMC company activities, ensuring smooth coordination between contractors, supervisors, and the construction firm, facilitating efficient information flow and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Supervision & Compliance: Review and approve mechanical engineering guidelines, design criteria, and project specifications developed by the PMC company. Assess and validate mechanical detailed engineering and applicable OEM documentation.

• Procurement & Technical Evaluation: Provide technical analysis and recommendations for preferred suppliers to maximize project value.

• Site Coordination & Safety Compliance: Ensure safe and regulation-compliant construction practices. Supervise PMC company activities during construction and commissioning phases. Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance. Ensure EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) compliance within the mechanical engineering scope.

• Work Permits & Contractor Management: Prepare and coordinate necessary work permits during construction and commissioning. Oversee and facilitate contractor operations to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in heavy industry engineering
• 5+ years of experience in managing teams
• Experience in large-scale industrial projects is an advantage

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• AutoCAD
• General knowledge of equipment for cement industry or similar
• Understanding of engineering project development and cement process equipment
• Strong leadership and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites

Language Proficiency:

• German: Fluent (80% or native preferred)
• English: Fluent (70%)
