Mechanical Team Lead

For a leading company in the cement industry, we are looking for a dynamic and skilled Mechanical Team Lead to join our the team, in an EPC project, representing end client. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an international environment within the cement sector, in a large scale growing organization.  

Estimated Duration:   2 years, from January 2025 to December 2026.

THE POSITION
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site fabrication and erection activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality results that meet our client's standards and exceed their expectations.

Furthermore you will assist in the management and administration of all mechanical constructions, reporting on all mechanical construction aspects to the Site Manager.
You will evaluate and comment on schedules for the mechanical constructions submitted by the contractors, regularly inspecting the work in progress to note deviations in quality and monitor progress against the work scheduled.

• Ensuring that mechanical inspections are performed with the latest drawings, you will observe quality in cooperation with the quality manager
• Assist the Site Manager in the evaluation and resolution of installation claims and ensure that mechanical deviations are documented and archived as hard copies
• Reports on the mechanical installation activities that impact the project schedule, budget, and scope, including project deviations, will be prepared for the Site Manager
• Monitor contractors' manpower levels in relation to accomplishing the tasks to be completed
• Evaluate the installation activities to provide guidance for coordinating mechanical and electrical erection.

Working jointly with the Site Mechanical Engineer, you will supervise the erection of structural steel work and verify contractor statements, monthly reports, quantity surveys, quality statements, receiving reports, etc. Your responsibilities also include leading the mechanical team, administering team members, and organizing daily work within your team.

• Ensure the safety guidelines are maintained
• Monitor quality and progress regularly
• Coordinate effectively between mechanical and electrical erection activities

This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety on site.

WHO YOU ARE
Experienced with pyro kiln line inclusive pre-heating, kiln, cooler, quality and safety conscious, taking the leading role and at the same time thrives in a daily routine where safety, quality, and documentation are paramount. You have professional pride, even in a busy daily life where often many things are going on at once and less but not least a people person. You’re familiar with working in new countries and with different cultures.
