Title: Medical Advisor Hematology
Department: Medical Affairs, AbbVie
Reports to: Head of Medical Affairs Oncology Scandinavia, AbbVie
Location: Denmark
Summary:
We are looking for a Medical Advisor who will work with our lymphoid portfolio in hematology. The candidate will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product(s) in hematology with a local and Scandinavian scope.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussion forums and symposia.
- Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to health professionals
- Prepare scientific/medical information on request.
- Review and approval of advertising material. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Be a medical expert in the cross-functional teams, and provide medical/scientific input to medical affairs strategies, marketing strategy and commercial initiatives.
- Assist in initiating, supervising and following up clinical trials and medical projects.
- Design and implement clinical research projects; e.g. Phase IV, observational, registry and epidemiological studies.
- Prepare insights and assist in preparation of upcoming HTA dossiers
Qualifications
Ideal candidate:
- PhD, PharmD, MD, M.Sc. or equivalent
- Experience in oncology/hematology is an advantage.
- Clinical experience and solid research experience (PhD) is an advantage.
- Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned therapeutic area/product and in medical research in general.
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in written and oral English is highly desirable in order to facilitate communications between the affiliate medical department, Regional and International Medical Affairs and other AbbVie functional staff.
- High customer orientation
- Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across the organization as well as with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community at large.
- Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
- Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity
